We are thrilled to share the success of our 4th Annual Fellowship on the Fairways, a special Juneteenth celebration that took place on the morning of Friday, June 14, 2024. This unique event was held at the historic Frederick Douglass Park Golf Course, combining our Elevate Indy Sports & Adventure programming with a historical and celebratory exploration of Juneteenth. The event offered a memorable experience for students, staff, and community members alike.
At Elevate, our mission is building long-term, life-changing relationships with Indianapolis urban youth, equipping them to thrive and contribute to their community. One of the ways we build these relationships is through our year-round events that connect students with their Teacher-Mentors, but also with volunteers, sponsors and Elevate supporters. At this year’s 4th Annual Fellowship on the Fairways, we had:
- 32 students attended
- 9 volunteers served
- 5 sponsors supported
- 1 guest speaker (snaps to Lourenzo Giple)
- 10 teams golfed
We are thankful for the beautiful weather, the opportunity to learn and teach about the Juneteenth holiday, and the volunteers and sponsors who helped make this one of our best events of the 2023-2024 program year.
