HELPING TRANSFORM THE FUTURES OF ARSENAL TECH EARLY COLLEGE STUDENTS

It has been two years since we partnered with Indiana Public Schools and Ivy Tech Community College to launch the Elevate Indianapolis IPS Early College Cohort at Arsenal Tech High School.

Since then, we have worked alongside the Early College Program at Arsenal Tech to support and prepare students for post-secondary success. And starting in 2025, I am thrilled to announce that we will add two new cohorts to the program.

Arsenal Tech’s Early College Program allows students to complete up to 30 dual-credit hours of college level courses while still in high school. These credit hours can be transferred among all Indiana public colleges and universities, starting these students on the strong path toward success after graduation.

With a total of four Early College cohorts, Elevate can empower and guide these students as they pursue a path toward purpose and success. With the 24/7 holistic support that Elevate is known for, we walk alongside these students as they explore their options and understand how to choose the right path for them.

During my years with Elevate and in the community overall, I have seen the limitless potential in the students of our city. I have also seen the heartbreaking obstacles that these students face on the way to achieving that potential. The primary goal of Elevate is to create transformative relationships that allow students a safe space to grow, explore, and ultimately, thrive.

To date, Elevate’s Early College cohort has served 63 students. Of these, 67% have seen an increase in their GPA, and 98% said they now have the help they need to make decisions about the future.

This is a reminder that Elevate is helping students with so much more than their test scores. As part of the Early College program, we strive to help our students grow into confident, contributing human beings.
